How It All Began

Cooking in Your Home is all about practicing what I learned in culinary school. As a mid-life graduate, I have enjoyed many years of commercial cooking and developing personal recipes. (Onion-Walnut Bread with Port Wine and Blue Cheese Walnut Butter, Spicy Three-Cheese Roasted Pepper Spread, CiMon Rolls).


My supportive husband, Mike, was behind me all the way when I decided to officially attend and graduate from Louisville KYʼs Sullivan Universityʼs Culinary Program. After graduating I started a fine-catering business and eventually became partners in a fine-dining establishment.

All the while I had my sights set on building and opening a bed and breakfast establishment on our home property in Kentucky. Eventually this dream was realized and we operated our bed and breakfast for three years (add two more years for the build). With the downturn in the economy I had to work wherever I could to earn a living. Eventually Mike accepted a position in Utah…right here in Tremonton. We lived in Providence and I helped open the Kneaders Bakery and Cafe working as the Pastry Chef. Mike and I were called back home because of family illness and we found ourselves once again in the South. Five years later, we received a call to return to Utah. We jumped at the opportunity because we held a real love for Utah. And now, living in Utah and working at developing is where I want to be.
